The Juniors had something cooking while we, the seniors are taking up our last batch of exam on the last week of the heart's month. True to our instincts, they arranged a tribute party for us last March 03, 2007. And mind you, it's not just an ordinary send off to the real world party/recognition. If not the best, it's one of the greatest tribute ever conducted under the Business Administration Program. It's really beautiful; the theme is to follow your dreams which really fascinates me. As we all arrive at the lobby, a butterfly corsage was tied on our wrist, we wore white smart casual get up that time and we're asked to form a line as we enter the Levesville Hall. The hall was dim and a little trace of light was emanating from somewhere, a soulful music was playing while the juniors and faculty members welcomed us. It's really wonderful. We received a lot of words of encouragement and wisdom from our dearest dean Dr. Ramos and our ever beloved chair, Ms. Manuel. I felt lucky to be given the chance to turnover the larger than life key of wisdom from Seniors to Juniors.
Here's my turnover speech; be inspired if it touches your heart.
"An ending always signifies a new beginning; another chance and opportunity to nurture ourselves, to give the best of our ability, and to share our God given talents and skills. It is through this that we grow as a person; increasing our worth and probability of being catalyst of change to others. Now, as we all face an ending, let us all share a new beginning; a new undertaking that will lead us to the fulfillment of our hopes and aspirations. May this key of wisdom serves as an instrument and inspiration to all of you in achieving your goals. Remember that wisdom is your key to self fulfillment. Challenges, hindrance, and obstacles are natural in the quest of life, face it with optimism to achieve fruitful and excellent academic performance and servant leadership. Let this key be the source of strength to develop determination, perseverance, and passion for learning. I enjoin all Juniors to face the life that is waiting for you. Set aside your fears and frailties; all you need is yourself, a self with a profound heart that unceasingly seeks for the best. Remember that you are your future and the seed of greatness lies within you.
Finally, let us all keep the faith to the Lord above."
The Juniors prepared dance numbers, audio visual presentations, and awards for us. By the way, I got the Best Public Speaker of the batch Award. =) After the activity, we ate at the KKK Restaurant at the Midtown Wing of Robinson's Place Manila. We all received a rose from Mari, the only rose among the torns. Overall, it was a success; both for the Juniors and Seniors. May we all live life remeniscing that in one way or another, each of us have been part of each others life.
